The NEW Tinkerbell is here!

Tinkerbell & The Lost Treasure has finally arrived! Of course, we got it on the very first day it was available. Finally, we have a new movie to watch every day for the next year!

More Fall Photos

We went to Bever Park this afternoon. Mommy has conferences this week, so daddy and I went to the park and enjoyed the leaves again! We can't get enough of them since they will be gone soon. Winter is on the way.

Brilliant trees

We are in the heart of fall now with changing leaves and colder temperatures. Today was a perfect day to get out and take advantage of the beautiful, changing leaves on the trees in Daniels Park in Cedar Rapids. What a day! Pumpkin patch, first hair cut, and playing in the park. This is what life is all about.

First Hair Cut

Today was a bit sad for mommy and daddy. It was Addilyn's first hair cut. For parents, this is a big step in a toddler's.. well... hair growing. Those were the first set of hairs that Addilyn ever had... apart from those that fell out shortly after birth. Anyhow, it seems as if she looks more like a "kid" now and not a baby anymore. She did very well for the hairdresser. They had Elmo on TV, books to read, pretzels at the end, and other treats. We got a certificate with the date of her first haircut, a lock of her first hair (cut), and a polaroid picture to save forever. Our baby is no longer a baby. She is a toddler that gets her hair cut like a big girl! $10 to snip a few hairs and receive a certificate, picture, and lock of hair... Getting to witness your little girl get her first hair cut - priceless!

Pumpkin Patch

We picked out pumpkins today for our Halloween party! Daddy is going to carve the pumpkin, but that's a surprise! We had so much fun picking out pumpkins - big ones, small ones, tiny ones - finding gourds and indian corn, and running through the fields. Addilyn's favorite pumpkins were the green, tall, and ugly ones. The uglier the better. We had several ugly pumpkins in our wagon before daddy had to take them out before we paid for them!

Daddy's Home!

Daddy has been gone for a week, so he wasn't able to update the blog. We missed him very much. He was in Chicago for a business trip and brought back "Marie" from Aristocats (one of Addilyn's favorite characters)!

First tailgating experience!

Go Hawks! Daddy, Papa, and Grandma Shari went to the Hawks game last week vs. Arkansas State. We tailgated in the COLD weather! We ate breakfast burritos and ham...mmmmm...! Best of all, the Hawks WON!

Hawks kick a field goal. You can see the ball trying to be blocked in the air by Arkansas State (white). Addilyn had a GREAT seat in the front row!!!

Yay! Hawks!
Being silly.
Hi Daddy!
Football star.
Throw me the ball! I'm a wide receiver!
Quarterback.
Whoa!
