New playhouse and picnic table!

Thank you Grandma Judy & Grandpa Bruce for bringing up the playhouse and making such a beautiful picnic table. If we could play outside 24 hours a day, we would now! Our backyard has become so much more fun. At every mealtime now, we get to have a picnic on our table on our back porch! And of course, the kitties love the playhouse, too!

Scavenger Hunt

Last weekend, Addilyn and Daddy went to Wickiup Hill Outdoor Learning Area on a scavenger hunt. We had to find artifacts, flowers, animals, butterflies, birds, plants, trees, etc., and make a record of what we found along the way. Our favorite area was the Wetlands where we saw tadpoles, turtles, lilypads, frogs, and cattails. Daddy wrote down what we saw along the way, and Addilyn gave it a shot as she scribbled on our scientific data sheets.

Kitties riding in the wheelbarrow

The kittens were treated to a very exciting ride around the back yard in the wheelbarrow. Addilyn is having so much fun with them. They are 4 weeks old already!

This is what life is all about...

...Herky, of course! You can just tell by the look on Addilyn's face that she is having the time of her life. We saw some kids wearing a t-shirt at Kids Day at Kinnick that is so true - "I will always love Herky. My parents have some work to do."
