Pumpkin Patch

We went out to Clearview Orchards in Haslett on this gorgeous fall day and picked our own pumpkin.  Stay tuned for a Princess Belle pumpkin.  I think that's what Addilyn wants.  But she might change her mind!

Say ya to da U.P., eh?

We took a weekend trip up to the U.P. last weekend with Grandma Judy and Grandpa Bruce.  We loved every minute of it.  From the beautiful trees to the wonderful company and delicious food... The pictures say it all!

A day at the Apple Orchard

Today we experienced a Michigan Apple Orchard.  It was the Michigan Apple Festival at the Country Mill in Charlotte, Michigan.  We were in for a treat!  The apples were the best I have ever eaten.  Tart, sweet, crispy, and so delicious.  But that was only the beginning of our fun at the Country Mill.  We watched the goats climb "Old Mac," a bridge that is a small replica of Mackinaw Bridge.  We poured our own apple cider, straight from the barrels.  We ate fresh, hot pumpkin, apple, and buttermilk donuts with cinnamon and sugar!  Heaven!  And we even rode the train out to the orchard.  We had so much fun.  28 pounds of apples for $12 came out to about 40 cents a pound or about 9 cents per apple.  I hope we can freeze them!
