Easter Egg Hunt & Gardening

What a beautiful day for an Easter Egg Hunt! We went to Van Vechten Park in Cedar Rapids for a HUGE Easter Egg Hunt with hundred of kids and thousands of eggs. The hunt started at 8:30am, and it was all over at 8:32am! Addilyn got lots of candy - including jelly beans, tootsie rolls, chocolate kisses, and Reese's PB cups - and mommy and daddy ate free hot dogs, chips, and M&M cookies! Addilyn chose a dolly out of the prize box - a Nebraska Cornhuskers dolly! (At least Nebraska isn't in the Big Ten, otherwise I would have made her choose something else!). We also went to an Easter Egg Hunt at Peck's garden center and saw baby animals and collected more candy. The Easter Bunny was there, and he wanted Addilyn to sit next to him for a picture. Of course, there would be none of that. When we got home, we did some gardening and Addilyn wore daddy's gardening gloves. We also picked some daffodils and little blue, wild hyacinths which have migrated from 1/2 mile away to our neighborhood, finally! What a fun and beautiful day! Tomorrow is Easter and we are planning for our families to come visit and eat some great food!

My bag is ready!

There's one!

And another one!!!

Where's the candy?

Hard boiled eggs? Is there candy in here?
